I guess the about us, would mean the legendary Surfers in art form
Featured in this web site. Some just happen to be relatives of mine.
Jarvis Hamilton, Spence Cooper, John Salamonvich, Earl J Seagars, Dick Huddleston
aka Hudd, Tom Blake,
Also included unknown named surfers of that era,
Just as famous guys and gals on boards that may be a relative of yours as well.
The motivation behind this site is regrettable an adolescent bad attitude that I possessed.
As a child, growing up in the early 60 in Carlsbad California then late 60s in
As a young surfer I was the utmost of arrogance, self-centered and latter in 60s
Peace & Love Man, using, (at times), some kind of illegal mind-altering substance,
So, anyway time after time, I would pass down the chance to spend time in the waves with my Dad, Dick Huddleston to be with my homeboys. You see I didnt understand just how cool it was that the guy that bought my first Hobie Surfboard was ridding on one of the first Balsawood surfboards that Hobie ever made!
Not to mention the fact that as a young man himself he was riding on waves with guys who revolutionized and invented the sport in the first place!
Just a thought about this found in Bible: about honor!
(I wish I would have known this scripture at that time).
Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
Anyway enough about this idol worship, you see with these Old Man surfers it really wasnt so much about idol worship and ego.
I think it was more about Camaraderie and fun!
May we all aspire to that same kind of attitude while enjoying the things that excite us?
